We lost my father, Dan Hiller, 2 years ago today. It's been what seems like the longest and shortest 2 years of our lives. We love him and miss him as much as ever. We want to say thank you to all of you who have supported us over the last 2 years, all of you who have shared a kind memory of him or made us laugh by telling a funny story about him. What I know for sure and what comforts me most is knowing that he hasn't been forgotten.
As a family, we're so appreciative of the outpouring of support for this golf outing because it just confirms for us that there are still many, many people who, 2 years later, miss and love my dad and feel the same way we do. This golf outing is about sharing that love for him, celebrating his life and legacy and remembering him as he was and remains in our hearts: one of the kindest, funniest people who you'd ever meet who had a soft spot in his heart for the people he loved. I am certain that is how he'd want us to remember him....by celebrating, not mourning.
We so look forward to this golf outing....not just to raise money in his name, but to share in memories and stories with friends and family, and to acknowledge the belief that his time here meant so much to so many.
